When you’re your own business, you need to be as smart as possible with your money, especially your advertising dollars. As a real estate agent, you used to buy space in the classifieds, advertising your newest listing and upcoming open houses. And you can still do that, but the world of real estate advertising as expanded to include the web. One of the best places to find buyers these days is on Social Media, Facebook in particular. There are many reasons to advertise your real estate business on Facebook.

Broad Demographic

Whether your newest listing is a great starter home for young families, a larger space for a bigger crowd or the perfect place to downsize for empty-nesters, you can find potential buyers on Facebook. What’s more, you can tailor your ad itself and its reach to the demographic you’re most interested in. Not only does this mean you’re paying to get the ad in front of the people you want to see it, but the leads that come through will be more qualified leads.

Target and Re-Target

The wonderful thing about advertising online, and especially with Facebook, is you get all kinds of data back to show you how well your ad is performing. You can see how many times it’s been viewed, liked, clicked, shared, etc. You can even use this information to re-target those who interacted with your ad and show them a more detailed ad-set, pulling them further down the funnel.

Integrated Social Media Plan

You shouldn’t just be advertising on Social Media. You should also be posting to your account in a more organic way. Helpful tools and links for your client and potential client base, photos and video of your current listings, items that help brand you and draw in more leads. All of these should part of your regular social media focus. You can pay to boost posts to your wall in addition to developing ads to run across Facebook.
